The sound of glass shattering echoed through the room; Sanji gasped and looked down at the wine glasses he had accidentally dropped. But it couldn’t be helped; he couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed. Right in front of his very eyes the lady he loved was kissing the other lady he loved.
The sound was enough to interrupt his two lady loves kissing. Upon seeing Sanji and his mess they were quick to get up from the sofa, worry plain as a day in their eyes. “Sanji? Are you okay?” Nami said as she bent down to pick up some of the bigger shards of glass.
Sanji didn’t respond, just looked down with furrowed eyebrows. Vivi placed her hand on his wrist. “Sanji. What’s wrong?”
Tears started to form in Sanji’s eyes, he clenched his jaw and tore his wrist away from Vivi’s touch. “Was I just a joke to you both this whole time?”
Nami and Vivi exchanged looks. “No. It was never like that,” Vivi said.
Nami placed the large glass shards she had picked up on the coffee table. She crossed her arms. “You want the truth, Sanji? The truth is we’re in love and have been for a long time.”
Sanji swallowed. His fists both clenched by his sides. He looked to Nami. “So you were both leading me on this whole time? Playing with my feelings knowing I never stood a chance?”
“What the hell! Never once did we lead you on! We rejected all your advances. You’re delusional if you think otherwise,” Nami said, her hands on her hips.
Confusion took over Sanji’s features. “But you always accepted the drinks I made you and you always invited me to join you both!”
Nami put her hands on Sanji’s shoulders and steered him to the sofa and made him sit. “Number one,” Nami said and held one finger up, “Accepting your drinks does not mean we have feelings for you and quite frankly if you’re trying to bribe us into a relationship, then you’re the one who needs to reevaluate your morals.” Sanji remained quiet. “Number two: we always invited you to join us because you’re our friend. Or at least I thought we were.”
Sanji dropped his head. “I think I need to be alone.”
Nami looked ready to say more but Vivi grabbed hold of her arm and led them both out of the room.
